and, of course, this work must be your original work for it to meet submission guidelines. It's also worth noting:

The event is happening on May 14th, but allowing time for review and event promotions means the submission window closes at midnight (MT) on April 3rd.
Submissions must be the original work of the submitter and must be in written format as we cannot accommodate video or audio stories at this time.
You may submit only one story in one format (you cannot submit both a longer and shorter story). Submissions with more than one story are immediately disregarded.
