Altars, altars, everywhere

by Sarah LaRue

"The doors to the world of the wild Self are few but precious. If you have a deep scar, that is a door, if you have an old, old story, that is a door..."

—Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés

An intimate exploration of the sacred and the everyday, in this collection, Sarah weaves themes of memory, ritual, and transformation into a lyrical tapestry that invites us to find and define holiness for ourselves.

In her third published collection of poetry, Sarah examines the spaces where loss and resilience converge with gentle honesty, focusing on breaths of reverence and quiet wonder. She infuses her fiery activist spirit with her soothing voice, urging greater openness while appreciating each portal as it is.

All power to all the people.

Meet Sarah LaRue

She has shouted poetry from her Cap Hill balcony, and whispers to her demons in the night. Sarah has self-published two books of poetry, I'll just hide until it's perfect (2018) and Tend (2020).

Her third self-published collection, Altars, altars, everywhere, is now available, and the book launch celebration was held at Quince Coffee in East Denver on March 23rd, 2025.
